Media Agency Association (MAA) to Participate in “AI x Media” Session on First Day of 2018 DigiAsia

MAA to host luncheon and welcome two international keynote speakers

(Taipei / September 3, 2018) 2018 DigiAsia will take place from November 15th (Thursday) through November 17th (Saturday) at the Expo Dome of Taipei Expo Park. Launched in Taipei in 2014, DigiAsia has been one of the most iconic digital congresses in Asia. This year, in partnership with 2018 Meet Taipei Startup Festival, DigiAsia will feature dozens of keynote speakers from internationally renowned businesses, exhibitions of 300 startups and start-up supportive businesses, and 100 pitch shows. The three-day event is expected to attract over 68,000 visitors.

The theme of 2018 DigiAsia is “Experience AI,” where the four topics of “AI x Industry,” ”AI x Media,” “AI x Technology,” and “AI x Creativity” will be explored. On Nov 15, the first day of the event, luncheon will be hosted by the Media Agency Association (MAA), followed by the afternoon session on “AI x Media.” Chris Stephenson, Regional Head of Strategy and Planning from PHD APAC, and Tom Goodwin, EVP, Head of Innovation from Zenith Media, will talk in depth about how AI is reshaping the media ecosystem.

Chris is currently the Head of Strategy and Planning for PHD across APAC where he leads thought-leadership, creativity and innovative thinking in 18 offices across 15 countries. Chris is a passionate believer in the mutual benefits of brands engaging people in positive and constructive ways; Chris believes that considered, creative, digital-integrated, innovative communications create value for consumers, brands and businesses; that reach is not an objective; and that hope is not a strategy. In delivering strategic media planning and thought-leadership for a range of clients across both Europe and APAC, he has worked on global and regional projects for brands including Unilever, ANZ Bank, Google, Coca-Cola, Adidas, Ferrero, Ebay and The Guardian newspaper. An industry thought-leader, Chris has co-written three books on the future of the media industry and the impact of AI on marketing. A regular and respected commentator on the communications industry, he has presented on stages at Cannes, Spikes Asia and Australia’s Mumbrella360. He likes what he does.

Tom Goodwin is the Executive Vice President and Head of Innovation at Zenith Media USA. Tom’s role is to understand new technology, behaviors and platforms and ideate and implement solutions for clients that take advantage of the new opportunities these make possible. Tom is also voted the #1 voice in Marketing by LinkedIn with over 600,000 followers on the platform, he is also one of 30 people to follow on Twitter by Business Insider & the top two people in Advertising to follow by FastCompany. An industry provocateur and commentator on the future of marketing and business, he's a columnist for the Guardian, TechCrunch and Forbes and frequent contributor to GQ, Ad Age, Wired, AdWeek, Inc, and Digiday. He features on Global TV as a regular guest on i24News’s “Cutting Edge” section. Tom is the author of Digital Darwinism, published on April 2018.
